More green paint found splattered at two Washington landmarks

The Green Goblin may have struck again, with more splatters of green paint found defacing two Washington landmarks Monday.

New paint splashes were discovered on an organ in the Bethlehem Chapel inside the National Cathedral as well as the Children's Chapel there and on the statue of Joseph Henry outside the headquarters of the Smithsonian Institution.

The new incidents followed the discovery two days ago of green paint on the Lincoln Memorial.

U.S. Park Police are investigating whether the various vandalisms are related.

Cathedral spokesman Richard Weinberg said the paint was discovered there about 2pm ET and was still wet. He later said paint had been discovered in the Children's Chapel as well.

Linda St. Thomas, chief spokesperson for the Smithsonian Institution, confirmed green paint was discovered on the Joseph Henry statue Monday morning and said it would be removed within one day. Henry was the Smithsonian's first secretary.

On Friday, green paint was found on the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall. Crews are still working to remove the paint.
