COLUMBUS, Ohio – An Ohio coroner has concluded two of three women whose bodies were found wrapped in trash bags last week were strangled.
The Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH'-guh) County medical examiner's office on Friday released the manner and causes of death of the women. The coroner determined 18-year-old Shirellda H. Terry and 38-year-old Angela H. Deskins died from ligature strangulation; 28-year-old Shetisha D. Sheeley died from "homicidal violence by unspecified means."
The three deaths were ruled homicides.
Police found the bodies in a dilapidated East Cleveland neighborhood after responding to a call about a foul odor.
Thirty-five-year-old suspect Michael Madison is in custody facing preliminary charges of aggravated murder and kidnapping. He's a registered sex offender who served four years in prison beginning in 2002. He has no attorney listed in the county.
