Willimantic police say they're looking for an "active shooter" amid reports that a police officer was shot.
State and local police responded to Tunxis Lane in a residential neighborhood just south of the downtown area Tuesday.
Police officials wouldn't immediately confirm media reports that an officer was shot and that there is a standoff with an armed suspect.
No other details were available.
