2-year-old abducted after double murder in Rhode Island home found safe

Authorities say a 2-year-old boy who was abducted from a Rhode Island home after a double murder has been found safe and is "in good health."

Johnston Deputy Police Chief Daniel Parrillo would not provide any other details on the Isaiah Perez's circumstances after he was found late Sunday night.

Earlier, police arrested two men in the murders and kidnapping of Isaiah after two people were found dead in a home in Johnston, a town of 30,000 residents less than 10 miles from Providence.

A nationwide Amber Alert for the toddler was issued shortly after police  arrived. Investigators believe the two people were killed between 4:30 and 5 a.m., Johnston Deputy Police Chief Daniel Parrillo told The Associated Press.

By the afternoon, Malcolm Crowell, 22, was arrested in Fall River, Mass., and Daniel Rodriguez, 27 or 28, was arrested that evening in Providence, Parrillo said.

Both suspects are from Providence, but Parillo would not say why police suspect the two or how they are related to each other or to the victims.

Parrillo told Fox News that Crowell was seen leaving the residence with Isaiah.

"We are starting to talk to family members right now ...," he said. "What he was doing there, we have no idea."

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
